Just over four years ago, I wrote about an identity crisis. As I watched in horror as Donald Trump secured the Republican nomination, it became clear: I wasn’t who I thought I was – a young, Evangelical, Republican woman.
Now, we’re leaving four horrendous years of Donald Trump behind, but my identity crisis has continued. But it’s fascinating to revisit a more naive version of myself and us it as a launchpad to reflect on how the last four years have shaped me, and how I want to engage with the world – politically and otherwise – going forward.
